Rates For Moving:

Moving is charged by the hour on local moves and time is rounded to the nearest quarter hour. Long distance moves are a set, contract rate and are inclusive.

- Free written estimates are offered and encouraged as they can give an accurate idea of the cost that will be involved in your move.

- You can also just call or email to get a "ball park quote"  of what your move might cost so you can get an idea.

All equipment such as dollies, pads, and carts are included.

- You can also email a list of your contents to be moved, to give us an idea of what you have to be moved. 

Regular  Moving Rates (end month):

2 men crew plus 38' 5-ton @ $95 per hour
3 men crew plus 38' 5 ton   @ $125 per hour

Discount Moving Rates (Mid Month):

2 men plus 38' 5-ton @ $85 per hour
   3 men plus 38' 5-ton @ $115 per hour

Other costs for moving services:

• Rates include basic insurance and WCB liability coverage for workers, minimum 2 hours can apply, fuel surcharges of 5% does now apply on moves.
• Travel Time: On most moves that we charge by the hour, travel time is a charge that allows for the time to get to and from our yard, to the job site. Moves from Sooke or Sidney, the travel time would then be about 1-1.5 hours. On local moves .5 to .75 of an hour) Our office is located in Saanich/Victoria boundry.
  
• Tax of 12% HST now apply.

The hourly rates for moving can depend on what time of the month you are reserving your move, and how many crew are used on your job. Rates for the last, "end month" days  can typically be more than for other times of the month. Call us to confirm current rate information.

Moves conducted long distance are set, contract rates based on the contents to be moved, location, ferry fees, fuel costs, access and so on.

Cash is best! According to a report by the CFIB, you can help your small business, and reduce costs by paying for your bills in cash, or by debit card.

We are working to adopt this new model to keep our rates low.

How does paying by cash or Interac help small business?

Every time you pay with a credit card, a percentage of your purchase goes to the credit card company and bank. The more often you pay with a credit card, the more money goes to the credit card companies and banks in the form of transaction fees charged to the merchant... The less income the merchant has available to pay staff, suppliers...sponsor the local baseball team...or even send their own child to summer camp... The fix is easy, though. Just consider paying with cash or debit. Where ever you can, avoid compelling the independent merchant to pay the credit card companies.
